A competition for you all.
As it is coming up for Christmas, I am feeling generous and so I am running a competition for you all.
The title of the comp is “naked photography” now before you all get to excited, what I mean is untouched photographs.
The categories are
1) Macro
2) Portrait or people
3) Abstract (this includes odd camera angles)
4) Everything else
THE RULES.
They have to be untouched photographs, exactly the same as you took them, no messing with contrast or saturation etc and definitely no Photoshop
You can enter as many categories as you like, but only one entry per category (does this make sense?)
Please tag all entries poppykittencomp and state which category you are entering.
You can add you image to this post or just your profile, but remember to tag them :-)))
THE PRIZES (OOOooooooohhhhhhhhh)
The overall winner will receive a small laminate of their choice, from any artist on RB
and the winners in each category will receive a card of their choice.
As I thought it would be nice to have these for Christmas the comp will end Nov 30th,
Remember, its supposed to be fun.

Great pics, so far. don’t forget that you can enter into each category so you can enter 4 pictures in total. More chances win!!!
David Librach ...
I posted this on your post in the forum but didn’t get a reply so thought I would post it here to…..
You do realize that you can mess around with contrast, sharpness, saturation and many other settings “in camera” when you shoot jpg. Does that count? By default, all digital cameras do that. Heck, some point and shoots will even allow selective colouring before you even click the shutter.
I respect entirely that it is your comp and your rules. Just need clarification…
poppykitten
AAaahhh good point David, that is a tricky one to answer. I think I will have to say that I would like nothing done to the picture, on the camera or computer. black and white or sepia settings are ok but nothing else.
I wanna see the best without any help. I know we have all come on so far with all the help, but what is it really all about. I think we have to love what we are taking the pic of or why would we take it.
Ok I am rambling now, I will get off my soap box.
Have fun, but no messing with the pictures before or after :-)))))
David Librach ...
I appreciate your answer, poppykitten. Unfortunately that excludes anything that I do but I think it is great what you are doing and I wish everyone the best of luck. Way to give back to the community! :-)
poppykitten
Oh I am really sorry David, Have you not even a black and white?
I will have to run a different comp another time. :-(
David Librach ...
That’s OK, poppykitten. Let others have their moment. I think it is a great idea. They’ll be plenty of opportunities for the rest of us in the future. :)
David Librach ...
I do have black and white images but the way I choose to capture my art requires post processing. No worries.
Tony Moore
Thank Poppy,
I hardley ever use any production on any of my photies, just upload them as is. So this is just up my street, thanks to Sylvia Hardy for alerting me to this comp.
Please let me know if I haven’t tagged properly, because you should have at least one entry from me…......
Thanks again poppy.
poppykitten
Loving all the entries so far, this is going to be so difficult to judge (got a while yet) bit short on the macro shots, so come on get up close and personal, and frighten me with the detail.
Claire Brewis
Oooh am so going to take part in this haha
poppykitten
Brilliant, the more the merrier!!!
