Kanye West is the only true personality we have left in Hip-Hop who has some artistic credibility. I know that is a big statement to make but beyond him I PERSONALLY feel most people who make music today aren’t there to be great or exceptional at their craft but to get a buck out the end. So yes, I can say that Kanye seems to be a rare artist in Hip-hop.
Through his determination to be the best he takes risks and chances with his music and audience by doing what he thinks is best not what the latest trend is. He is loved and hated for this and this is why his music inspires me. He asks for forgiveness and not permission. Its a lesson myself and my fellow artist need to learn.
