She stares at her reflection with intense scrunity.
Silently taking inventory of the damage to her frail, porcelain shell.
Her body is scarcely recognizable, the accumulation of everyones
burdens have contorted her once strong body beyond repair.
She gives of herself unselfishly, until the well has gone dry.
Even then she perseveres…trying to bargin and borrow energy and
time that isnt hers to take.
So secretly concealed is her weakness and pain,
The only visable crack in her facade is the smile in the mirror
that never quite reaches my eyes.
We all have our limitations in life. We need to learn them, and know its
alright. We cant be everything to everyone. If we dont take time for ourselves,
we cant be there to take care of the loved ones that need us. It can be a hard lesson
to learn sometimes. Be kind to your soul.
