A special portrait I took of my cousin

What a guy, I miss him every day of my life.

He told me he was

Irvin lost his eye due to cancer in 2010, he kept diving and photographing in New Guinea until his untimely death

His underwater book is at The National Library of Australia

This is a wonderful portrait Ronald. My first instincts on viewing is the engaging warmth in his eyes, his smile. Then I read your narrative and felt such sadness for you that Irvin is no longer here.

Not only a beautiful image, a wonderful tribute also.

    Kind regards, Tai
