I was floating in the ballon above,
it was pure magic early on a frosty cold morning.
I took my shots during The World Hot Air Balloon Championships in Mildura Australia.

I loved every minute of the flight, I have been up a few times, the best was at 4:30 am weather 35 degrees, silent no wind and up up up 30 kilometres from Alice Springs, saw the sun rise over the South Macdonald Ranges which was magic, looked down on herds of kangaroo and cattle, all you could hear was barking dogs. The experience of a lifetime

Ah the world ballooning champs. Remember them well, what a great sight it was seeing 90 or so balloons taking off out of the mallee fog from the same spot.

The image looks almost surreal and unreal. That’s a compliment of course. Love the diagonal lines of the field and somewhat neutral background. Makes the balloon pop with color. You seem to have such a gift for photography. I think I need to start looking at things from above and not lay on the ground taking my flower photos. Very creative!!!!
