We launched leggings! Step into a world of individuality.

My brother was and still is a great inspiration when it comes to music. Three years older than me, Chuck was in a band by the time he was a young teenager. In my 5th grade year, his band was playing about a block away from where we lived in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. I’ll never forget sneaking out of the house and sitting on the lawn across the street listening to him playing guitar as he sang, “House of the Rising Sun.” I loved every minute of it, although I would never tell him that, well, at least not during that stage of life, but he sure knows it now. I remember when we both started listening to Guess Who. It was in 1968 or 1969.

Several years ago, I saw Guess Who live in Folsom, California. The entire time, I thought of Chuck and how he would have loved to be there. The guards gave me entrance into the gate to photograph closeups, which was awesome!

So, this one is for you dear Chuck, with many thanks for your incredible musical talent. Chuck plays keyboards, drums, guitar, harmonica, bongos – heck you name it! The gift of music that he gave to me started when I was only about 7 years old or younger! Chuck taught me that music not only comes straight from the heart, but that it also sinks deeply with great depth and emotion into both the heart and soul as well! My Big Bro’ is one heck of a fisherguy and he still paddles in my first kayak that I gave to him almost 10 years ago. Here is one of Chuck’s musical fishing videos.

If you would like to hear more of Chuck’s music, here is his web site: Fishnmusicn

Furthermore, he does have a RB site, check it out at: drumsandkeys

My life is like a well read book that’s never ending, at least for this moment in time. As I continually add new chapters to my book, I find that my photography plays a big part in it. This is most especially true as my great love and fascination with Mother Naure never wanes. It’s my hope that you, too, will share my joy as the pages in my book of life continue to flip forward! • Thanks Sis – they were awesome in concert! The funny part was that none of the twenty year olds knew who they were, so they sauntered off into the town bars and the rest of us old hippies, went nuts dancing and singing the night away, with plenty of room to spare!!! xoxoxo!! :)))

WOW Pol………..talk about one talented family………..
I had to chuckle myself because the Guess Who was the first live concert I attended (back in the early 70’s)……..they were playing in Vancouver, BC and the crowd was so small, I was standing right up close to the stage……..how things have changed!! LOL……………..
Nice tribute to Chuck and his video is awesome!! That is some BIG fish!!
    cheers, Rosie xoxo

  • Thanks so much as always Rosie!! Chuck is a very talented musician! LOL – My first concert was Johnny Winters and Black Sabbath, probably in 1969!! Actually, because none of the young kids knew who Guess Who was, they went off to the bars and we had lots of room and it was very easy to get up front and center!!! I’m so glad that you like Chuck’s video – his music is incredible and yes, he almost always has some BIG FISH!! ha ha ha!!! Thanks again dear Rosie!! xoxoxo!! :))))

    Cool shot!
You must have had great tickets!

  • There were no tickets – just a general admission. So many young kids were there, but they didn’t have a clue who Guess Who was, so they went to the bars and the rest of us old hippies sang and danced all night!! LOL!! You could easily get right up to the stage – it was totally amazing Estes and an awesome concert!! Thanks so much as always!! :))))

I still like to play along to the Guess Who on my electronic drums, great music and I see the original drummer still playing in your picture. Brings back good memories and nostalgic times. How about a little “House of the Rising Sun”? Like the Guess Who its all good music, getting harder to find these days, guess I’m getting to be an old fart!

  • They are ALL original band members Chaz!! Yup, love House of the Rising Sun – whenever I listen to it or sing it, I lovingly think of you!!! Hey doncha worry, I’m old farting right behind ya big bro!! xoxoxoxoxo!! :))))
