After torrential downpours of constant rain and some pretty good thunderstorms, the sun finally peeked through the clouds early this morning. Off I went, as quickly as possible, to go to my favorite farm in West Chester, Pennsylvania to try to spot Bald Eagles in the sunlight. Sure enough, one Eagle was there, but flew off in a hurry. I turned my focus to other birds, reflections, trees and the gorgeous horses, which graze so gracefully in the large pastures. As I drove up the long lane, I was popping off shots through the car window. This shot is what I call one of my “AHA shots!” An “AHA shot,” is when you know that you hit the target, dead center, both clean and crisp. This Horse’s head was behind another Horse’s rump, which made it one of those perfect seconds to shoot. CLICK!! After taking this, my mind was thinking about these beautiful eyes and I starting singing, “These Eyes,” by the Guess Who. The song felt right and so did I! This show was taken with a Canon 40D and a 70mm wide angle lens on a farm located in West Chester, PA.
By the way, I saw the Guess Who live in Folsom, California about 3 summers ago. They are just as good today as they were in the late 1960’s.
