Nestled into the ground by a small pond, this springhouse demonstrates a fantastic glimpse of old stone work. I have not a single clue of how old it is, but it no doubt has plenty of age. I found this small pond while exploring Birmingham Hill’s trail along the Brandywine Battle field from the Revolutionary war. I’m sure this building could tell a whole lot of stories if it could only talk. There are hundreds of bodies from the war that still lie under the earth on the Brandywine Battlefield from the Revolutionary War. It feels very spiritual to know that they are buried in a place of great beauty that they loved so much. This photograph was shot with a Canon 40D equipped with a 75-300mm lens in Birmingham Township, Pennsylvania.
