Artist's Description

Struck by peace, quiet and the sheer beauty of this land that was laid out in front of me, I couldn’t help but to feel conflicting feelings. This is Birmingham Hill, located in Birmingham Township and a part of the Brandywine Battle field. A portion of the Revolutionary War was fought here on September 11th, 1777. I sensed immediately that I was walking on sacred ground. Thankfully, despite the past, peace now reigns here. I used a tiny bit of digital editing to soften the features of this photograph, but for the most part my picture is as I took it. This photograph was shot with a Canon 40D.
