Greystone Hall, originally built in 1907, has several beautiful marble statues. Beautifully detailed, this statue was surrrounded by blooming Peonies, which added to its allure. It is a replica of of a sculpture from the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy (c. 1st century BC) and depicts two male athletes in a tense wrestling pose. Their sophisticated composition and heightened emotion are characteristic of Greek Hellenistic art (c. 323 – 31 BC). This photograph was taken in West Chester, Pennsylvania with a Canon 40D.

My life is like a well read book that’s never ending, at least for this moment in time. As I continually add new chapters to my book, I find that my photography plays a big part in it. This is most especially true as my great love and fascination with Mother Naure never wanes. It’s my hope that you, too, will share my joy as the pages in my book of life continue to flip forward! My Very Best, Polly Peacock
