As a young girl, I came to love antiques. My Grandmother (Grammy), used to go to big old barn sales and bought antiques, which were more than likely dirt cheap back then. Today, I have a large collection of her antiques and they are priceless to me!
This painting portrays a friend of mine, sitting outside of his antiques shop, while reading the paper. Ron Grove was almost a permanent fixture, since I’d see him in the same place, practically every single day, weather permitting. This is a watercolor that I did of Ron and his store, located in the small town of Shrewsbury, PA, USA.
This watercolor was painted on Arches paper and slightly blotted with wet on wet, along with dry brushing for detail.
