Once upon a time, when I lived in the small town of Railroad, PA , USA, I was across the street from a very old barn, owned by an older gentleman, Earl. This barn gave me so much painting material, since Earl had Sheep, Horses, Roosters, Chickens, and Ponies. I would often be over there with my camera, taking pictures for watercolor studies and as a result many paintings came to life, such as this one in 1992!
I used candle wax to create texture on the fence, a bit of a dry brush for details and wet on wet for the background. This was painted on Arches watercolor paper.
