Stevey was a rescue dog, found in a small California, USA town eating out of garbage bins. After his rescue, he was in the hospital for an entire week. He only weighed 15 pounds and he was only one year old ( a Doctor’s guesstimate). After being in the hospital, he was sent to a foster home to learn socialization with people and other dogs. He spent two months there and was loved very dearly. I found Stevey online at www.petfinders.com. His sad face was enough to make me cry. I just kept going back to look at his picture and given a few days time, I knew that I wanted him to be my dog!
If you are thinking about getting a dog, please give consideration to adopting a dog in need. There are thousands and thousands of dogs that need immediate attention and adoption. They are waiting for us, but sad to say, some never get homes…
Sometimes I wish I was a dog. It would be fun to nap wherever I laid down, run like the speed of light, play with toys and most importantly give unconditional love to my owner, er…Mom! Stevey, my best model, is always within camera range and I love to shoot him, because he is so sweet and photogenic! He’s a great pal, who stays by my side with love, loyalty and everlasting trust! What more could I possibly ask for?
This photograph was shot with a Canon 40D, equipped with an 18-200mm lens and converted into a b/w with a slight watercolor effect in Roseville, CA, USA. It’s dedicated to my pal, Stevey and his rescuers for saving his life!!
