Bent Over and Twisted by Polly Peacock

Just like this ancient Juniper Tree, this is what happens to us as we age. We start to get a little bit bent over and some of us get twisted with arthritis or other health issues. Yet another spectacular example of nature’s beautiful artwork, this tree has withstood many years. That being said, if it had a brain, it would be full of incredible wisdom, just like our elders, due to a lifetime of experiences. Bent over and twisted, it survives, just as some of us do, despite the problems we may have with age. In reality, what really matters is what’s inside. That’s what makes this tree so beautiful, just like bent over and twisted people, who carry their beauty ever so gracefully in their heart and souls wherever they may go.

This photograph was shot at Colorado National Monument in Colorado Junction, USA with a Canon XT, equipped with a 75-300mm lens. It has not been altered.

My life is like a well read book that’s never ending, at least for this moment in time. As I continually add new chapters to my book, I find that my photography plays a big part in it. This is most especially true as my great love and fascination with Mother Naure never wanes. It’s my hope that you, too, will share my joy as the pages in my book of life continue to flip forward! My Very Best, Polly Peacock
