Hung by a Vigilante Committee
While traveling across the United States Coast, my pal and I found this graveyard in Kansas. We barely saw a sign, for a historic monument. As we turned left to travel down a dirt road, we were intriqued because the road seemed to go on forever. Two miles later, we arrived and were literally awestruck at what we had found. Here was the graveyard from Fort Wallace and the graves, still standing, were done by hand with writings that fascinated me. A true glimpse of the old west, this site offered so very much to see! This photograph was shot with a Canon XT.

Died and buried the same day, propably not a sould there to shed a tear. This is sad ….. great find though!

Thanks Andy! Yes, there were several rows of wooden grave markers that were very well preserved and most interesting, but yes, sad too…
