The town I live in had a bush fire on January 2. Nothing like the scale of the one destroying Tasmania just now but bad enough for a small town.
Luckily no lives or houses were lost but it took over 100 firefighters more than 6 hours to get it under control.
The cause is being treated as suspicious.

    Looks very dramatic and scary to be honest. The effects of the smoke must last for weeks. Great shot of this dramatic event though.

    A Very Powerful Image….
    I can remember Ash Wednesday here in the Macedon Ranges where I live …
    Boy was I scared….. It was just too close for comfort…
    This shot brings back memories…..
