What an elegant image! Diva’s from yore would envy her feathers and bosom so proudly puffed out to deliver that high C, but mostly they would envy that her portrait was by “Polly” :))) My grandmother collected salt and pepper shakers, over 150 sets – all roosters and chickens. Would you ever! Sandy

  • ROTFL!!! Salt and pepper shakers..that , for some odd reason, was the last thing I would expect someone to talk about re chicken!! Made me howl with laughter!!

Oh this is such a wonderful capture of this Hen. Love the colour of her and I wonder what she was singing. I have to say in reality I am scared of hens acomes from my childhood they are not on the top of my list of animals I like to be near lol

  • Funnily enough I think I know what you mean!! This one had a VERY fierce eye! Did make me laugh though..VERY pompous!!

I love this. I had a rooster as a kid, named after my Mother of all people… because he was almost as loud as she was. Gloria. She took it as a compliment from her favorite 8-year-old.

  • LOL!!!!! That made me laugh!! I think Gloria is a GORGEOUS name for a chook!!!
