Lovers in the Musée Carnavalet by

One of my favorite museums in Paris [ it’s beautiful and free! ], and once the home of Mme de Sevigné. Her life, and love for her daughter, are revealed in this collection of her famous letters.

And one of my favorites as well. I stayed near there in June. I love the Marias.

This is charming, Dawne, a favourite for me. Can you tell me a bit more about the musee, I shall be in Paris in October and would love to have a look at this one! I shall look it up anyway but this is a tantalising glimpse. Bron

  • Thank you so much! I wasn’t sure you saw what I wrote under this, Bron, but the musee is in the Marais [3rd arr.], it’s free and utterly charming. Filed with the Madame’s elegant things, as well as much art, and ancient signs and oddments. Beautiful ,tranquil garden. Not to far to the Picasso museum, also wonderful. Do look it up. Plan to have a falafel first at L’as du Falafel on Rue de Rosiers. Yum! Have a smashing trip!
