Acrylic on canvas. The first real Acrylic work I’ve ever done. Wanted to create a warm atmosphere by having the sky a bright yellow with orange clouds. Spent the most time trying to get the water reflection in the water just right. also really made a huge effort to make realistic water ripples with circular brush strokes back and forth. Spent the most of the time though, with creating a sense of depth with the rock needle in the foreground and fading the colors on the ones behind it. Out of the whole painting the tree’s on the rock needles is my personal favorite.

rock needles, landscape, fine art, water, water reflections, sunset, acrylic, acrylic on canvas, waterfalls, yellow, orange, bright, warm, warm colors, trees, ripples, rock, needles

I am a self educated artist and Film maker. I’ve been painting for four years now. I mostly use oils when painting. My experience with film making is what helps me with painting, ei lighting, and composition.
