Oil on canvas landscape painting I made trying to use swirling brush strokes to create a surreal expressionistic feel, that is a representation of energy that is ecstatic yet tranquil. It is my best example of a color scheme I attempt in every painting I do. With Blue as the main color of the piece originating in the sky, with flashes of red or purple, and flowing into the Mountains combining with yellow forming green, while the foreground is brown and yellow. My goal was to make a surreal unity between the sky and the land. It is very reminiscent of both impressionist and surrealist styles. Mainly Vincent Van Gogh and Edvard Munch. With a whimsy of Rodney Greenblat.
