Abandoned house in Granger, Texas. This house was once used in the The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the 2003 film. They call this the Hewitt House. I visited the location in the fall of 2010. It just sits there off the road in the countryside.

I am a published fine art photographer. I experiment with a variety of subjects such as still life, nature, animals and documentary. My work offers a unique perspective that is simple, yet bold, rich with contrast and color, and lends itself to storytelling that leaves the viewer deciding the plot.

WOW !! is this the actual house from the film? Is it a real house or a set built for the film? I always wondered about that

  • Yes, it is the actual real house used for the remake movie with Jessica Biel. Thanks for your inquiry.
