Oh, Now i am so green with envy !!! I so badly want to make images like this. Time to get the gorrilapod out this weekend with the bad weather they have predicted for me. Perfect shot. !!!!!!!

  • pmistric replied

Thanks Ric! We’ve had bad weather too. I had stopped taking pics of inanimate objects,so I could explore with other types of photography. When I decided to do the watch, I had so much fun and that’s when I realized it’s “TIME” to get back to this particular subject.

This photo I did for my husband. He has this old vintage watch that sits on his bathroom counter and the watch happened to be stuck on 3:10. Also he loves that movie “3:10 to Yuma. He titled this pic.

Wow, this is gorgeous, Trish! Just like Ric I’ve always wanted to take a picture of an old watch….... watches are wonderful subjects and you did so very well here with the tones, the DOF, the texture (repeated numbers)....... great! :-)))

  • pmistric replied

Thank you so much. Yeah, I was wanting to do a pic of a watch for sooo long myself, but kept putting it off. Then I saw some group was having a time piece challenge and I told myself this was the perfect chance to do it. I also remembered seeing the number texture awhile back..I really knew what I wanted to do with the photo visually. I wish it could be that way for each picture I do..sometimes things don’t work out like the way you want them to, but glad this one did. :)

Woot! Thank you. I was surprised to win this. I usually don’t place 1st on any contest…this makes it my second one.

Thanks so much…this was a fun challenge for me because I actually took the shot particularly for the challenge and I usually don’t do that. I should probably be doing that more often because it’s motivating.
