Love

A lovers lust a lovers cry
For not to live to love is but to die
For wars are fought for love and lovers
For men crave the lust between us
Love forgives but does not forget
For loathing is not loves purpose
It makes us tremble it gives us passion
For love gives us not apprehension
But shelters us and make us strong
For lust between two only touches love
It allows us to forgive and put behind us
The bad times the sad times
And lets us remember the fun times the loving times
And brings us together closer and closer
For this is loves purpose
But for a lover
For not to live to love is but to die.

Artist's Description

This is the first serious poem that I wrote it sparked my interest in poetry. It also sparked my interest in one day publishing my work. I was 13 years old when I wrote it and I hope that it sparks your interest in poetry like it did mine.
