Welcome, my name is Phillip, and I’d like to thank you for visiting my gallery. I live in Birmingham, Alabama, which is located in the southeast region of the United States.
Several years ago I rediscovered my long lost passion, and entered the much cleaner digital world of photography. I enjoy photographing nature, landscapes, and historical subjects.

Susan & I love to shoot old motels, what a great find Phillip!

no WiFi then?Love it Phillip!!
I’m afraid not. If someone would have asked a question about Hi-Speed, they would probably have gotten a funny look and then heard the following reply. Of course we have Hi-Speed. We also have medium, and low as well, or if you want you can turn it all the way off. LOLThanks Vicky!
Great find Phillip, love the way you composed this image.
I appreciate it Joe!
my smile for the day :-))
Glad that I was able to help!
It looks a bit scary to me – Hitchcock has a lot to answer for! Otherwise, it’s a nice capture. I like the sign, in pink and blue, and the suggestion of the building behind.Just don’t go in the shower.
Thanks Ruscara, let’s just say that this place probably peeked when they purchased the air conditioners, and we’ll leave it it at that.
Thank you so much Ana!
Excellent capture Phillip!! the air conditioners are probably long gone by now lol
Thanks Kate! I’m actually afraid that they may still be in business. While I believe the Moon Wink is closed, there were people here. I’m sure that the rooms are either rented rooms by the month or by the hour I’m not sure which. Obviously they aren’t listed in your handy dandy AAA guide. I can’t imagine anyone stopping here when Tuscaloosa is just a couple miles down the road with your typical modern motels. I just thought that the sign was cool.
Thanks you so much Tara!
he, he ,he ,I love seeing these old motel signs , great shot Phil :))
Thanks Trish, I’m glad that you enjoyed it!
Thank you for sharing this soon to be dated capture. You don’t see these old signs much anymore. At least it is air conditioned.
I’m afraid that it is already dated, (LOL) thanks a lot Alissa!
