Winter
The most amazing light fell over Rainbow Bay, QLD at sunset on the 8th of July. The wind dropped to nothing, the swell was glassy and the colours of the sky and water kept growing richer and richer until finally darkness took over. An amazing night to be out walking, surfing or taking snaps…I hope you can get the feel!

Hey Paul. I love this place too but I have to admit, I have never vetured out in the water at this time. Not since I lived in QLD that is. ” JAWS” ( Only kidding…..) This really is an amazing shot which has me thinking that perhaps I should reconsider visiting the beach at Sunset. Great to meet you Mate….Jenny. ( from a little further North.)

Jenny…My favorite times of day are sunrise and sunset – not just for photos, the beach gets a certain peace and freshness about it and you get the most amazing colours…we often find ourselves in the water (no shark sigthings…yet!) until just before dark – the crowds depart and the wind drops and life is good!
