Apocalyptic Visions No Longer In The Movies

Grey nuclear ash Blankets the chared ground Sticky like a black tar clue As the acid multicoloured rain Falls, a mixology of toxic death Fumes will rise to get unsuspecting survivors later Men, momen and childern Zombiefied due to the radiation Walk the burnt earth Shells of buildings provide a home As flesh falls off bones And the dying moan Packs of scavengers murder and steal Helping themselves Not realizing safety is in numbers Sharing could help survival At least the end is near Mushroom clouds continue to appear On the horizons in the distance Total destruction of life as we knew it Politicians hide in underground bunkers of steel Dumbfounded asking each other is this real Their secretaries on knees Still trying to please Gimps with limps Impotent with quilt Not wanting to accept responsibility for what they have done In humanities name What a shame Comfort in the bunkers there will be no one left To point the finger and focus the blame Reassuring each other with slaps on the back The right thing to do was attack They carry on with more of the same All in humanities humiliated name.
