I bought this particular plant for my mother who lives in Puyallup, WA. I took this photo when they bloomed for the first time.

beautiful Debs, been in landscaping for over 25yrs., have never seen any this color…any idea what variety?

I know they are not as common as the other varieties, and I paid extra for the yellow….They sure are beautiful. The variety is: Rhododendron chrysanthum, and I believe the variety is “Capastrano.”
