Filled with the secrets of evening-scent
Danced on our skin
Touched by this playful magic
Starry shadows illuminating the path
We walked as if the moment would never end
As if all the living of our lives had brought us to now
Cupped in the hands of a haunting melody
Too beautiful to turn from
Too musical to leave a note unsounded
We surrendered into a moonlit bay
And did we become as water
Filling in the spaces with awakening ripples deep within
Moving across each other like currents in an ocean
The wings of a bat silhouetted the night-sky
Adding to the air an omen
The hoot of an owl, the rustling of branches
What moves in this grove of mystery
What blending of gods and nature
For we sought and found in each other a source
Though the thirst remains for what lives in mystery
As Venus smiles knowingly
And Saturn-stern returns to his books
And so we live beautifully haunted yet jacketed by thought
Awaiting the moment of transformation into water
Where all that we are … flows
Simply flows
The rising swells and receding tides knowing no beginning or end
Just flow
In the flow
