From the shadows

This piece felt very elusive at first but is about how sorrow can awaken the heart to new beginnings

From the shadows belongs to the following groups:

! ♥♥All About Hearts♥♥ !, All Out Emotion, Feminine Intent (LIMIT TWO IMAGES PER DAY), Freedom In Words & Art, The Healing Journey, THE SISTERHOOD and Up & Coming Writers

Sorrow split the seams of her composure
Releasing ancient fatigue longing for rest

Hints of unrealised moments
Teasing the heart
Memory’s twisting tapestry
A labyrinth for the mind to trace

I wonder
Simply sit and wonder

And impressions flow like water
Rips and currents drenched in challenge
Calm pools and silent streams cloaked in peace

The ocean of life’s living ever moving
Wave after wave swelling by
The tide of love’s breaking
A lullaby to the ship-wrecked sailor

And to familiar shores we cleave
Mystery’s unknown serenade
A haunting tide we long to surf
Yet which we shy from

And so sorrow lifts her tender stem
Offering a yet unfurled bud of joy

She says:
Open yourself
Trust
Know as you remember a winter long and harsh
That spring’s kiss will find your hiding place
Will touch you in the secret dwelling of your soul

And so the rain fallen
A new scent gracing the air
Does the heart begin to awaken

The journey of the breaking
Now harvesting the fruits
Grown in the dark of the shadows
