Play me a new note

This poem came from thinking about history and how it does often repeat and how we can make a difference, even if its through what we think, what lives in our hearts …

History sighs as it sees it reflection
Saddened by events that keep it on replay

Shedding a tear
For suffering come from greed
For actions based on fear
It lifts its head toward the ocean, looking deeply into its wisdom

Healing waves wash over and over
Bringing a cleansing
A clearing of debt
A moment of space

History takes a new breath and the air is freshened
And begins to sing to the great orchestrator – humankind
A gentle lullaby of appeal

Play me a new note
Live me a new story to tell
For each person counts in the sound they make
All are instrumental in shaping the future

The lullaby filled the air
And to this day is played in the atmosphere

You can feel it as a wish -
A wish that speaks to a global need
A wish that comes from the heart of earth

And so day by day as history is created
Does the wind carry the wish around the world and beyond
Through the stars and around the moon
Back again into the galaxy of your heart
Where you create
