MOUNT’S BAY, NEAR PENZANCE, CORNWALL, UK

A local landowner kindly allowed me onto his land to enable me to take a few photographs of a stand of pines stretched in a line across his field. His Grand-Father had planted them. Two had to be cut down to make way for the Penzance by-pass and the trees are a visible landmark as you enter Penzance from the A30 passing the Tesco roundabout. I had often wondered what the view would be like and when I did get the chance I framed this shot of St Michael’s Mount in the distance.

Very nice B&W image. Interesting effect. Is it infrared? The trees are lovely. I would also love to see a version cropped closer to the “window” in the centre just framed to the outside of the tree trunks and the darker shrubbery.

  • Hi Tony, Thank you very much for the comment :) It’s not an infrared image. I think I used channels to create this.

I was thinking about myself, the cropping. I will try it. Hope the image quality doesn’t suffer too much. Bes twishes
