Gareth, Sascha, Neja, Dream, James, and I all stopped to chat on South Bank during our first shoot at the Lomography World Congress and started to rewind/reload our cameras as this group of teenagers strolled by. I had just finished loading my film when I noticed that one boy from that group had stopped right next to us, silent as a mouse, and just couldn’t stop staring. Just as i raised my camera to snap a shot of him, he gave the most terrified look I had ever seen on a young teenage boy give, and bolted after his friends. Somehow, I managed to capture the look just before the terror struck, the one of confusion and curiosity. I wish I knew who this boy was, so that I could frame up a nice 8×10 and give it to his mum for mother’s day.
