Bodie, CA (USA)
An 1800’s ghost town. A fabulous tourist town and a photographer’s delight!
No one is allowed in the buildings…so I pressed my lens against the very dirty window and shot blindly into an unlit, dark room.

I am self-taught in both photography and graphic enhancements…and what a fabulous, intensive journey I’m having!!!
My creative vision goes BEYOND the camera shutter..right into the Digital Dark Room where ART pieces emerge…each one reflecting a piece of my soul.

Fantastic! It’s almost a shame they don’t let people in, but if they did it wouldn’t be preserved this way. Awesome capture, Pat!

  • Thanks, my friend. There’s soooo much encrusted dust inside, I don’t think anyone would WANT to go in!

Sure, Pat…we know, you were sitting at the end of the bar near that Lucky Lager! LOL How on earth did you get such a clear shot through dirty glass and no light?? It’s a great image!

  • You’re guess is as good as mine, my friend! I don’t have the faintest idea why this came out…but when it did (after much adjusting) I was thrilled to pieces!

Very cool capture Pat. I would love to shoot this place!

  • Ohhhhh, Debra….you would think you’d died & gone to ‘cowboy heaven’ if you could see this place! It takes ALL DAY, if you shoot like we do! Sooooo many little artifacts everywhere! Hope you get the opportunity to visit Bodie, or at least a similar place.
