Nevada's Oldest Thirst Parlor (INside) by

Part 4: Genoa, NV (USA) Series…..Nevada’s Oldest Town
It’s actually very dark inside…I lightened it for viewing purposes and was DELIGHTED to get so much detail! Can you see the man in back playing a slot machine?

See bar as it ACTUALLY looks.*
See Outside taken at 9:00am with glaring morning sunlight.*

Wow a guy could not get drunk there or he would miss so much.

  • lolol:) How true! It doesn’t really appear this busy because it’s soooo dark in there…just wanted everyone to see all the “stuff”.

So much to see! From the interesting pictures on the wall, to the clocks, to the light fixtures, the flooring, and yes, who was that man playing the slots? Great image, Pat!

  • It’s a photographer’s dream! The dust is soooo thick…looks like the original dust from the 1800’s! lol:) Thanks, my friend.

Places like this are disappearing from the West. I’m so glad to see a few of them being preserved for posterity. :]

  • We have a lot of active ghost towns in my area….I never get tired of seeing them! The beautiful thing about it is…many of them are original buildings & being used as tourist gift stores. They are maintained wonderfully.
