Artist's Description

When I was a child…my mom would heat the “flat irons” on a wooden stove til toasty, then wrap them in towels and slide them under my bed covers so my feet would stay warm throughout the night. By day….they were heated on the wood stove for ironing. They also make wonderful door stops!!!
Those memories are precious to me….sure do miss her.

Shot in the Railroad Museum…Old Sacramento, CA (U.S.A.)
