Ran across these pics in the early 1900’s of West Point, CA USA…..
a VERY small logging town about 45 miles from Sacramento, CA.
My family and ancestors were born and still live in this area.
My nephew is getting ready to open a grocery store there in May and the very small community is cheering from the roof-tops, as they are currently driving 50 miles (round trip) to buy groceries! Mountainous, twisty-twiney roads with hair-pin turns is a bummer to drive and get home before the ice-cream melts! lolol:)
