Yes of course. I planted 1000’s of grass and buttercup seeds on the model around springtime and asked her not to move until midsummer. :-)
Actually it was much easier than that. It is simply 2 separate photos on two layers in Photoshop with the top layer blend mode set to soft light. Then adjusting the opacity of the top layer until it looked right.
However, this doesn’t work for all images as the finished result depends on the colours and brightness levels in the photos. Sometimes multiply or hard light blend modes work better. Esentially though it is just the blending of two layers and a bit of experimentation with blend mode and opacity level.
