The series of this flower is exquisite. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I love how the petals seem to just reach out across the image. The contrast of the white flower and the black background is striking. Very well composed. Did you do this outdoors or in a studio?

There is a resort near me which has the most beautifully kept flowers in it’s gardens, and I go there sometimes for a sandwich and coffee, and, of course, to photograph the flowers. All my flower images are shot in the ‘wild’ with the exception of some studio backlit Orchids I have here on RB.
This particular image was shot at 400 mm with digital zoom on (800 mm) on my S100fs. Love this camera !!

Steven, thank you. The light was so intense that the background just ‘disappeared’.
