Lupin Field

Came across this field of Lupin’s a few years back growing in a field in New Zealand’s South Island. I love the colours and was like a ‘kid in a candy shop’ snapping images.

Yee Haaa, Fantastic Shot an all round stunner!

I love being on eye level with the flowers and you’ve managed to record some amazing textures/details in the flowers themselves making the very much centre stage. I really like the trees between the flowers and mountains as the provide great depth when compared with the tree to the left and they add another layer to the image. This composition would not have worked half as well with out those clouds sweeping across the sky.

    ShaZam!

  • Dave Lloyd replied

Steve, thank you, and thanks for the commentary on the composition.

Did you take this in the high country? It reminds me of the Twizel-Omarama road

  • Dave Lloyd replied

It was taken about six years ago. All I can really tell you is I had left Akaroa and was heading to Fox and Franz Josef glaciers. So, somewhere along the way.
