Approx A4 size watercolour and pastel on 300gm Arches watercolour paper

I’ve finally bitten the bullet and had a play around with watercolour. At the moment I’m using cheap watercolours on good paper. Wasn’t totally happy with the watercolour so have also added pastel.
While it’s not exactly a masterpiece, it is a start :)

My 8yr old daughter actually took the reference photo for this painting while we were fishing at Somerset Dam
