Soft pastel on A4 size sand coloured Mi-Teintes TEX paper
The challenge theme for this month at my local art society was “ocean”.
This is a picture of my husband and daughter fishing at Caloundra.
This has been a MASSIVE step outside my comfort zone. I think I must have redone my husband’s face at least 6 times! I’m still not completely happy with the faces but have decided that if I don’t stop being a perfectionist it would
never be finished in time.
Maybe for my next challenge I will take on something a bit more simple!

Well done! Handsome man and lovely child. Congrats, I think you have succeeded in drawing people….very difficult for me as well! ;-)
Thankyou Liz! I have actually even made some more changes to my husband’s hair since putting this on rb. He is looking way too bald in this shot LOL! The more I look at the faces the more I am not happy with them. I think if I fiddle any more though I will just completely wreck it so I will keep it behind glass and not touch it.
