A Christmas gift for Nan & Pop (my grandparents)

Pop’s donkey, Pippi, died of old age a little over a year ago. All of us grandkids (as well as some great grandkids) grew up with wonderful memories of riding Pippi and walking up the paddock to visit her. She was really one of the family and is greatly missed.

Beautiful work and sorry to hear about Pippi!!

  • Thankyou Gail! It was quite sad at the time, because it all happened at the same time that Pop got really sick and had to spend time in hospital for the first time in his life.

wonderful tribune to him, Dianne. Animal is always good friend for us. they don’t know money and vanity.

  • Thankyou so much, Hidemi. I agree about animals. They never judge us. My Pop is a tough old farmer, but I am sure the picture will bring a tear to his eye when he sees it.
