Presented in Acrylic, my painting depicts a sculpture created from wood, wire, cloth, and liquid plastic, by a dear friend. The sculpture is finished black, rubbed with gold. I have often admired her work and when she invited me to paint with her partner, I decided it was time for me to reproduce this Pixie. This is a return to acrylics for me and it was a wonderful experience to paint this. The experience of painting has become much more enjoyable as I no longer second-guess my brush strokes. I am painting what I see, not what I think I see.
