An image at the low tide waterline at “The Blowhole”, Flinders, Victoria, Australia.
My camera and I copped another good soaking here from a rogue wave.
I don’t know how the camera and lens put up with this abuse.
Based in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne I seem to have an attraction to the ocean as seascapes are the subject of many of my photos. The ocean beaches near where I live provide almost infinite photographic opportunities and also provide me with my “therapy”.
I also enjoy taking portrait shots of people and pets and have an enthusiasm for black and white.

Stunning B&W Image..Jim!! Spectacular capture of the water crashing over the rocks and contrast between light and dark! Amazing work, as always!! WTG =D
I would say the soaking was well worth it when you come out with such an incredible image as this one in the end and sounds like you have a Fantastic camera that can take a licking and keep on ticking!! lol lol
Thanks Carla, I lost one lens earlier in the year, probably due to salt corrosion, but the camera is still holding on. “Touch wood!”

Beautiful capture Jim. Sounds like you had a bit of an adventure :)
Wonderful drama and energy accentuated in B&W, very nice!
fantastic shot mate, this stretch of coastline scares the s&$% out of me sometimes!
Cheers Alistair, I reckon sometimes being scared is a large part of the appeal of this and other similar coastal areas.
It’s a bit like riding a ghost train, …except there is a real chance that you might actually die if you aren’t careful. ;-)

Great shot, There is just enough detail in the water to let the potential for violence to come through!
Beautiful shot!!!
Good water movement, I really like the contrast.
Impressive, Jim!
