great shot jim, from the weekend? is that a fish eye lens or something?
It’s a 10mm lens Alistair. If you get down really low and tilt the lens up so that it’s on a different plane to the subject you can get this distortion (which is what I was trying to achieve). To me the distortion gives a whole new feel to what might be a very boring image. Each to their own. ;-)
This is just phenomenal Jim! Just perfect in this monochromatic treatment and the perspective does give it a totally different atmosphere! Absolutely love this very moody piece!
Nicely framed and fitted into the shot Jim. The gradient of the slope around the building adds to it nicely and the b/w treatment has really brought out the tones in the brickwork nicely,

wonderful mood with the b/w …
excellent capture Jim
Like the slight sense of distortion, it goes exceedingly well with the toning.

yep, the angle really sets it off nicely .. it’s such a gorgeous building .. the way it bends back into yesterday makes it so much more special :)
“bends back into yesterday” …..I like that expression Nicole, may I use it?
