Downtown Seattle and the Space Needle from Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill at dusk. Mt. Rainier is still visible and you can see a bit of light from the sunset still shining on a few buildings. It was a magical night up on Queen Anne – all the elements came together – a clear night in December (unheard of in Seattle), the sun setting, “the mountain” is out with a bit of sunlight still on it, the lights are just coming on in the city, and the Christmas tree is atop the Space Needle. A memorable evening!

    Another gorgeous capture!

  • thank you – I see you found it. :-) I have more from earlier when the sky was still pink and later in full darkness.

Great shot, Great timing the faint light on Rainier and the sun reflecting of the buildings, really nice image.

  • thank you – I was fighting traffic to get there, praying the light was still on the buildings, etc. Timing is everything! Thanks again and thanks for the favorite.

Was this 12-11-09? I was on the north end of Bellingham Bay and you could see Mt. Ranier from there. A rare sight so far away. This is a wonderful capture.

  • thank you – yes this was Friday, 12-11 – it was pretty amazing from Queen Anne. Thanks for the comment. :-)

This is utterly spectacular! I really like seeing Mt. Rainier in the background with the late evening light upon it. Splendid capture!

  • thank you so much, Matt – I was so excited to be there at this hour. I’ve wanted the dusk shot with the mountain out for so long, but with our weather, it’s hard to predict when that will happen – to have it happen in December is even more rare. LOL Thanks again, and thanks for the favorite!
