Third Place in the Outdoor Benches challenge in Cee’s Fun Artsy Friends Group – December 2010
A beautiful view on a beautiful day in Seattle, WA, from Golden Gardens Park on the Puget Sound. I took this shot in October of 2002 with my first digital camera, which was an Olympus Camedia C-211 zoom, 2.1 MP (link below) – it was a large camera and had a polaroid printer for instant photo prints right out of the camera. It’s a dinosaur now, but I used to get a lot of comments on it. It took great photos, I was very impressed with it. This shot was one of those “that’s pretty, I think I’ll take a shot of that – click” photos that turned out to be one of my favorite shots to this day and inspired me to eventually get a better camera and continue on a journey that I have enjoyed so much.
This camera is listed on Ebay by someone who said they paid $1,200 for it brand new. I got it for $150 on an overflow inventory website, ubid.com. Ubid.com said the price was $800. It’s amazing to think what you can get for that price these days!
