I live in Liverpool, Merseyside (UK) and have 2 adult ‘kids’ and have been blessed with 6 grand children. Photography for me is a hobby, thus I class myself as a ‘keen amateur’, albeit disabled.
I now use the Sony Alpha A850 (upgraded from A700) and have a small selection of decent quality lenses and anciliary equipment. My main interests are portrait, motorsport and aviation, though I will try anything. I like macro, but haven’t really ‘found my feet’ with any specific area or genre, so tend to ‘dabble’.
Any and all comments, remarks and/or c&c is very welcome as I think if you have found any of my images worthy of comment then maybe I’m doing something right (or wrong) as the case may be, so I can either enhance or try to change to improve my photography accordingly.
If you have the urge to buy any of my images, please feel free as I need all the help I can get ;o)
Jessops have gone bananas! They’ve reduced the lens by virtually 50%. Great news if you can find one in the UK. Get in now whilst they’re available. / http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/74819/show.html
Having taken a whole series of images at Fantasy Of Flight, Florida, I’ve since been working on certain candid and ‘out-take’ images of Kermit Weeks (owner of FOF and the aircraft), in preparation for the afternoon flying display in the North American P51-C Mustang “INA The Macon Belle”. Although re-sized to 800 pixels on the long side, I’m not overly convince…
Ahoy! / First real use of this beast of a lens on my Sony A700. I wanted to field test it as I’ve never had or used a tele/prime before.. The images are from RAW to JPG with no sharpening etc (just a little cloning in the sky for sensor dust removal). Basically these are all out of the can. I know the framing is all off, but it was merely to see what results it provided. I’m somewhat …
Finally! I’ve managed to put together 12 images of “INA The Macon Belle” and created what I think is a very nice calendar for those of you who love the P51 and aviation in general. You can find it here
