My MASSIVE News!

Hi Guys,

So this should help explain why I’ve sadly been so unbelievably absent from this fabulous place for very long periods of time… the longest in years!

As of Monday just gone… I now have my own Pip Pip Hooray range of Wall Decals for sale through the wonderful people at The Wall Sticker Company I currently have 8 designs for sale… and if all goes well with the range… hopefully more in the future!

I don’t remember feeling this happy in my worklife ever!

It just wouldn’t be right if I didn’t share this news with you all… after all it was Red Bubble that first re-ignited my creative passions to a furious flame and it’s also the place where I met the most incredibly special people… who will always have a place in my hear…

Lest I forget - 11-11-10

In Remembrance of our grandfather, George Gerard.

My Father’s Father.

Stationed in Palestine, Italy as well as other places I’m currently not aware of.

In Palestine exactly 70 years ago! (it’s so hard to believe really that it’s only 70 years ago!)

Prisoner of War for 4 years!!!

I promise…. I will never forget!! As will none of the rest of your proud family!

Love you Gramps… miss you.

xoxoxo

I believe this is on the streets of Sydney, Australia.
That’s my Grandpa on the right.

Gramps… on the far right.
Don’t have any information on where or who with.

Above is Grandpa (on the far left) in Tel Aviv, Palestine where they were stationed.
In a Cafe called Cafe Ayyia (or Alyia) April 1940.
I believe it was in Palestine where he was captured.

My Mr's Graffiti

When Luke and I first got together over 12 years ago we used to sketch & draw a lot together. I was studying illustration (only for 1 year sadly)… all the while having a huge passion for art & design… while he had a massive passion for street art and skateboarding. At nights he’d practice his graf sketches and sometimes I’d shade & color them because he wanted to learn new shading and shadowing techniques. We even made a skateboard together … he sanded back one of his own used boards and did his name as a piece and I did all the surrounding ink design. Fun memories!

We used to always keep our eyes out round our local area looking for the stand out best wall art and we found one of our favourite spots in Seaford through a mate which was trackside on the Frankston line.

Tarboy - Animated Short Film

Came across a truly brilliant Aussie animator recently… James Lee!

I highly reccomend watching all his short films on his website… especially the fantastic Pop Star short.

Definitely an artist to keep an eye on.

Tar Boy is his latest dynamite short film.

The soundtrack…the animation… the deeper meaning… everything just works beautifully!!

(you can double click on the youtube film link below to be taken to youtube to watch it full screen for full effect, as well as to give him a rating, a favourite and a subscribe perhaps)

Cake Pops

I saw these very unique, creative and new kind of treats that I’d not seen before and thought I’d share them for the RB bakers out there.

Ever heard of Cake Pops?

I don’t have the patience for this kind of baking.. but I had a lot of fun looking at these two gorgeous websites all the same.

And these little thingies… reminded me of RB with their little Red round hats… they look like the RB community with all it’s wonderful and varied personalities and talents.
