Well I drew the tree on watercolour paper using matte pen. Then the peaches were originally a colour pencil drawing see here Then I scanned the drawings into photoshop and duplicated more peaches… and put it together as a fruit tree (and added the ribbons using a brush). Then I used a fabric texture of yellow and white striped material as the background… then I layered lots of textures over the top. As well as playing around with the layer properties of the peaches and tree etc. It’s all really trial and error and add and subtract and play around till I have something I’m happy with. I really enjoy this kind of technique.

yes it is at the beginning but if you persevere it will pay off I guarantee… and there’s endless Red Bubble & internet help available if you’re at a loss :)

Whenever I doodle or sketch trees and the like.. I always tend to find I automatically like to do it with swirls… it’s just so enjoyable and seems to just come naturally for me to want to do swirlie motions. / You’re right.. it’s very much like Gustav. I just looked up the Tree of LIfe and remember seeing it when I was younger. That definitely is a masterpiece.. thank you for introducing me to his work again.

Thank you Michael… this creation came together from different drawings of mine splashed with some PS texture and effect. While doing it…It all seemed to just work & look good togeher from my perspective but you can never be sure what others will see in it.. so it makes me really happy to hear comments such as yours.
